Elan and Rani are originally from Singapore. They first came to Indiana in 1993 as international students and later moved to South Carolina in 1996 to pursue graduate studies.
While studying in Columbia, SC, Elan began serving with International Friendship Ministries (IFM) as an intern in 1999 and joined the staff full-time in 2000. In 2003, Elan and Rani moved with their family to Bloomington, IN, to establish a new branch of IFM. Just a few years later, in 2006, IFM became one of the founding partners of Bloomington International Student Ministries (BISM), a vibrant collaboration of several international student ministries and local churches.
Throughout their journey, Elan and Rani have shared IFM’s God-sized vision: Reaching the world through international students in America. Rooted in the Great Commission of Matthew 28, this vision is about investing in the lives of future global leaders whom God has brought from over 200 countries right to our doorstep.
Elan & Rani have three children: Prasad, Sejal, & Kiran.
